I bought Akasha at the 2008 Suri Llama sale.  I hadn’t been planning to purchase anything but as soon as I walked up to her I knew I couldn’t leave without her.  She is one of the friendliest llama on our farm and I think she is the friendliest llama I have ever met.  She is very loving, always waiting to greet you with kisses, and a dream to work with.  Everyone who visits our farm has fallen in love with her and some have even begged to take her home.  She has great style, flashy color and amazing conformation.  She is a great asset to our farm and our breeding program.  Akasha is bred to Tillmans Greaseball of the Ross Alpaca Ranch and is due in May of 2010.  We are excited to see the beautiful cria she will produce.

Angel is our beautiful 4th generation suri female.  She has great conformation, wonderful handle, and a sweet personality.  She is very curious and is always checking out the new people and things on the farm.  She is an almost permanent fixture on one of the two mounds in the field.  Angel displays the elegance of quiet quality and confidence that is sought after in a suri llama.  Angel has been bred to Tillmans Greaseball of The Ross Alpaca Ranch and is due in May of 2010.  We are so excited to see the beautiful cria that Angel is sure to produce.

Betsy is a flashy paint with style, presence and unbelievably lustrous fleece.  She is the biggest girl we have on the farm, standing at least a head above the others.  She has a gentle nature and is very easy to work with.  Betsy Inherited her good looks from her grandsire, Papa Noel.  Her granddam, Sophina, is an outstanding and consistent producer at Downey Ridge Farm.  Sophina has passed on all of her good qualities to Betsy who is bred to Peruvian Kopy Right for an October 2008 cria.  We are so happy to have Betsy with us and can’t wait to see the beautiful crias she is sure to produce.

Kode is a gorgeous little tuxedo patterned red brown male.  He was premature but still weighed 25.6 lbs at birth.  He has steadily been growing and has turned into quite a stunning little boy.  He is already courting another young lady in the field and is quite the little rascal, already wresting and playing with the other boys.  Although mom keeps a close eye on him, he is very independent and is usually hanging out with the other two cria boys or some of the older matrons of the herd.  He is a very sweet boy and has the most beautiful red coloring.  We are excited to see how he matures.

Edwin is a fantastic brown and grey suri male.  He is a Kantu grandson out of a full chilean dam. He has presence, personality, great conformation and fabulous ears.  He is a little rascal and already quite the lady’s man.  We are hoping to have the opportunity to show him and his buddies, Harley and Kode, next spring.

Harley is a beautiful full Chilean white silkie male.  He and his buddies, Edwin and Kode, are the men about the field.  Harley has great conformation and presence.  His dam, Heidi, is one of our foundation females and he has inherited her sweet personality.
